But folks, something’s afoot, the new energy, the new dreams, the vibe shift if you will. And indeed it is, on Sui — and it is Bitcoin DeFi that is leading the charge.
BTCfi Memes: Are We There Yet?
Let's talk memes. For what worth is something worthwhile if it’s not meme-able, am I right? As you can see, BTCfi is currently looking for some quality memes. We need a Pepe for BTCfi. A Wojak crying about impermanent loss on an eth-BTC bridge. I'm seeing a lot of "number go up" and laser eyes, but where's the soul?

That's a start, right? We need more! The bottom line here is that this is all about the fun stuff. It's about recognizing that finance, even decentralized finance, doesn't have to be soul-crushingly boring. It should be fun, lively, cool, and, if I may be so bold—not to mention, innovative—glamorous.
Now everybody’s hyped about Stacks integration, sBTC and BitVM bridges. Snooze. What I really want to know is: when can I use my Bored Ape as collateral on a Sui DeFi platform? Think about it. Your JPEG becomes a power move. But you can use it to generate yield on your Bitcoin. It's the ultimate flex.
NFT Collateral? Mind. Blown.
It's still early days. At present, Sui’s BTCfi ecosystem is all about the fundamentals. Lending, borrowing, trading. But the potential is there. Imagine NFTs representing ownership of DeFi positions. Consider limited edition NFT collections that provide holders access to unique BTCfi experiences. It’s a far more advanced piece of financial sculpture.

Here's the thing: BTCfi isn't just about making Bitcoin more useful. It’s time to create a different kind of financial system. A system that’s easier to understand, easier to engage with, and yes, more enjoyable. And if we can't laugh at ourselves along the way, what's the point?

I’m really bullish on Bitcoin DeFi on Sui. Not just due to the tech alone, but due to the potential.
